A FIGHT in the street left a man in hospital with serious head injuries.
Police were called to the scene of the three-man altercation in Mill Road, Burgess Hill, shortly after 3.15am on Sunday.
A 20-year-old man is still being treated in hospital for serious head injuries, another 24-year-old was released with minor injuries.
The suspect is believed to have fled the scene with another man in a small, white van.
He is described as stocky with short, light brown hair and around 25-years-old.
A team of forensics officers were investigating evidence at the scene and taking swabs of what appeared to be blood from the road, which was closed off at the junction with Spanish Court.
