A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a crash involving another vehicle.
The 17-year-old was arrested at the junction of Lullington Road and Alfriston Road in Alfriston after failing a roadside test for cannabis.
The accident, involving a black Alfa Romeo and a black Ford Fiesta, happened at 9.30pm on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old, from Bracknell, Berkshire, was driving the Alfa Romeo. He sustained minor injuries while his passenger, a 21-year-old man also from Bracknell, was unhurt.
The driver of the Fiesta, a 46-year-old woman from Seaford, also had minor injuries while her passenger, a 12-year-old girl also from Seaford, was unhurt.
The road was closed to traffic for almost two hours while paramedics tended to them.
A fire crew was also called but in the end played a minor role.
The teen has been bailed until August 19 pending further enquiries.
About two hours earlier, a separate accident involving two cars happened in Kitchenham Road, Ashburnham, near Bexhill.
Reports suggested people were trapped in the vehicles but this was not the case.
