PET owners have issued a plea for information after their "surprisingly fast" tortoise went missing while they were at Glastonbury.

The seven-year-old Russian tortoise called Reggie was staying with a friend in Elm Drive, Hove, while his owners Kimberly Middleton, 29, and Christopher Barnard, 30, from Brighton, were at the famous music festival in Somerset.

But Reggie, who is known for his adventurous streak and love of finding a hiding place, went missing on Saturday June 27.

Miss Middleton said: "Reggie can walk surprisingly fast and has found hiding places in the past which have taken us a while to find.

"So we hope that he is ok and has either found a good hiding place or a garden full of dandelions and is enjoying a feast.

"But we would really like to find him. If anyone has seen him please do get in touch.

"He is identifiable because his shell has been damaged on the front, right side."
