A CAR flipped over on to its roof earlier this evening after losing control on the A27.
The silver Peugeot 206 was travelling westbound near the Patcham turn-off when it left the road and turned over on to its roof at about 7pm.
Emergency services were sent to the scene and one lane was blocked.
Fire crews were dispatched after reports that a person was trapped.
The car was badly damaged after flipping over, with debris strewn across both lanes and vehicle fluids leaking into the gutter.
A section of the central reservation appeared dented after the crash, although it could not be confirmed if this was caused by the same incident.
It is understood the driver suffered minor injuries, though the total number of occupants is unknown.
A recovery vehicle was at the scene by 8pm.
Traffic is flowing freely through the area.
