AND what is mortar - you’ll be a man, my son.
Father and son Sean and Toby Goddard both graduated from the University of Brighton on the same day bringing a double meaning to the their titles of master and bachelor.
Mr Goddard snr graduated on Monday with a MA in information studies, while his son Toby added his name to the scroll with his BSc in mathematics.
Sean, 53, said: "It really hard work, but I'm glad I did it.
"It was for work, and Toby and I started in the same month three years ago.
"We hadn't planned to graduate together, he was 18 and started studying and I just started my three-year course the same time as him and by coincidence our ceremonies were on the same day.
"We were in the same school, so there was always a chance we'd graduate together."
Toby graduated with a first, and his father hopes it will not take him 32 years to start his masters degree.
