A man was stabbed in a vicious street robbing but only realised he was injured hours later.
The 39-year-old victim was walking along Seaside Road, Eastbourne, just after midnight on Tuesday (July 28) when he was approached by two men.
They pulled him to the ground, kicked him repeatedly, and stole a silver chain from around his neck as well as a smart phone.
When he woke up at home later that morning, he realised he had also been stabbed in the abdomen. The victim called an ambulance and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Detective Constable Susan Simons said: "The two suspects are described as white, with short dark hair and were wearing dark clothing."
Sussex Police is urging witnesses to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 572 of July 28.
