SCORES turned out to have fun in the sun at an annual community festival.

Brunswick Festival was held in Brunswick Square, Hove, during the weekend to celebrate the diverse community.

Now in its 34th year, attractions included live music, DJs, dance groups, a healing area, children’s activities and arts and crafts stalls.

A bustling market area with bric-a-brac, vintage clothes, charity stands and stalls also pulled in the punters while a world food area catered for hungry guests.

For those looking for some liquid nourishment there was the Brunswick Tavern tent serving real ale, cider, wine, beer and jugs of Pimms.

The festival’s Willowisp family area was also expanded this year, thanks to a £7,000 grant from the Big Lottery Awards For All scheme.

Veronica Stephens, of the Brunswick Community Festival Group, said: “It went really well and was the busiest festival for a long time. Next year we will be celebrating our 35th anniversary. We want to start collecting people’s festival stories or photos of years gone by.”
