A MEMORIAL walk has been organised in memory of Worthing United player Jacob Schilt.
Mourners are invited to join Mr Schilt’s family, friends and Brighton and Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber along the four-mile walk organised by The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund.
The fundraising two-hour route from 10am on Saturday, September 12, at 10am, will begin at the memorial on the Shoreham Tollbridge and go along the A27 foot path to Worthing United’s ground in Lyons Farm to symbolise the journey the 23-year-old from Brighton and fellow footballer Matthew Grimstone never finished.
Everyone is invited to wear colours or shirts of the football or cricket teams they support.
To participate email brettmendoza@hotmail.com. To sponsor visit justgiving.com/JacobsREMFwalk.
A minute’s silence will take place before all Patcham United Football Club on Sunday, September 6, where he also used to play.
