PEOPLE will remember those who have lost their lives in the Shoreham Airshow disaster at a number of vigils being held this weekend.

Several events have been organised for Saturday to mark a week since the crash and to think of those killed and their families and friends who have been affected by the disaster.

A service will be held in Lancing Manor Park at 1pm.

There will also be a further event will be held at Adur Ferry Bridge, from 8pm.

The vigil on the footbridge will be part of the Shoreham River Fest event, which is still going ahead.

This event will involve a candlelit vigil.

An official memorial service is expected to be held at Lancing College Chapel in the coming weeks, however there is no definite date has been set.

Following the crash, the walking wounded were taken to Lancing College.

Meanwhile, those who wish to reflect on what has happened or pay tribute to the victims have been doing so at the Shoreham Tollbridge.

Since the crash, it has become the focal point for grief.

Thousands of bouquets have been tied to the northern railings of the bridge.

The British Red Cross has opened a support line for people affected by the disaster. Trained volunteers will be offering emotional support and practical advice to anyone calling 0203 417 0300.
