A GROUP of former class mates is helping to raise money in memory of Jacob Schilt.
Patcham Junior School’s class of ‘03 has already gathered more than £650 in a memorial fund and hopes to raise £3,000 to help the 23-year-old’s family with any arrangements they need to make.
The Worthing United footballer has been the focus of a number of fundraising accounts, and plans for a memorial walk, in the past week after news of his death. Some of the funds are combined in memory of fellow player and victim Matthew Grimstone.
A former schoolfriend who set up the gofundme account said: “As old friends who grew up with Jacob from the age of four, this has really hit home.”
