CARNIVAL-GOERS braved poor weather to take part in a procession and parade.
The colourful event was part of the annual Worthing Carnival which took place over the whole Bank Holiday weekend.
The parade started in Grand Avenue before making its way along the seafront to Steyne Gardens.
The floats included one with a Lion King theme while spectators were also treated to the unusual sight of two Stormtroopers from Star Wars driving a VW Beetle.
A group of firefighters from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service led the parade by pulling along a fire engine.
Other attractions and events over the weekend included pop up theatre, circus tops and interactive art installations.
There was also a wide range of music, storytelling, a seafront market, vintage car show and a dog show.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Worthing with all money raised going to charities including Polio Plus, Marie Curie, The Cleft Lip Association, Water Aid, Shelter Boxes, Worthing Homeless and the RNLI.
