A MODEL has launched a free workshop for women to learn how to look after their car in the winter.

Jodie Kidd posed in a denim boiler suit for a photo shoot at Halfords in Horsham on Wednesday to mark the start of the company's scheme.

On October 12 a free introductory winter motor workshop will be offered to women at 420 of the stores, including those in Brighton, Hove, Newhaven and elsewhere in Sussex.

The session will demonstrate how to take care of a car including checking the oil, wiper blades, lights and offer tips on how to look after the car during the winter. A screen wash check will also include a free top up.

The workshop was planned after the company said research showed three quarters of women asked did not check their cars regularly.
