A MAN stole £100 after entering a house and demanding money claiming he’d cut the victim’s hedge.
The distraction theft took place in Harrisons Lane, Ringmer, between 1.30pm and 2pm on Friday.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged 20 to 30, 6' and of average build with short dark hair.
He was wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured long-sleeved top.
Detective Constable Richie Davidson said: "This suspect took advantage of an elderly victim. Please get in touch if you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time."
