A MOBILE shower unit used to rid workers of asbestos was stolen from a parking bay.
The £15,000 decontamination unit was swiped from a busy road where it was left overnight.
It was left at 2.30pm on Tuesday October 6 between the Black Lion pub and the Patcham roundabout on the A23, police said.
But it had gone when the workmen who had hired it returned the next day at 2.30pm.
The white unit is approximately the size of a burger van and is used by staff to shower in after dealing with asbestos.
Police Enquiry Officer Heather Van Dyke said the unit would need to have been attached to another vehicle in order to take it away.
Witnesses are asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 0841 of 07/10.
