****-Faced Showtime is a musical revue with a twist – one of the performers is, well, ****-faced.

An elegant idea in its total simplicity, Magnificent B***** Productions have conceived a unique and absorbing piece of entertainment.

The performance is introduced by a compere (Dylan Townley) who explains the rules, including giving out musical instruments to the audience which they can sound to make the drunk performer drink more.

As soon as the four performers take the stage you can clearly see how oddly compelling it is to watch someone who is half-cut and has permission to display rather than mask their drunkenness. It’s immediately obvious as the first number starts who we have come here to watch tonight. Adrenaline merges with alcohol to create a flamboyant show-stopper.

Improvisation then taken to another level – fully embracing the risk and possibility presented by a performer who insists on watching his favourite numbers from the audience, commenting on the action and dancing completely out of sync with the rest of the cast.

The chaos is held together by a cast of very talented singers who belt out some very difficult show tunes with ease (when not interrupted by drunken antics!).

A fabulous and entertaining evening.
