A LORRY driver has ripped open the roof on his truck after trying to drive under a railway bridge.
The Mercedes Benz food delivery van struck the 12 ft high arch of the railway bridge in Kingston Lane, Southwick, at around 3.25pm this afternoon.
Debris from the lorry spilt across the road but the route remains open.
Sussex Police officers are attending the scene and the lorry driver is arranging for his damaged vehicle to be taken away.
