PREP school children added a little colour to their morning when they arrived for school with dazzling hair styles.

The Brighton College youngsters had been asked by their head master Harry Hastings - who looked fetching in an orange wig - to come into school with hair colours to shock and bring along with them as much chocolate as possible.

But the confectionary was not for scoffing – instead it will be stored up for the Christmas Fair where it will be packaged up and sold along with a load of other money-raising schemes – with the proceeds going to young peoples’ community centre The Crew Club and the Manor Sports and Activities Centre.

Mr Hastings said: “The children are always game when it comes to raising money for charities and they excelled themselves with some very unusual hair dos and an awful lot of chocolate.

“We’d like to thank all our parents for entering into the spirit of things too.”
