THE REMAINS of a body of a missing man have been found in a river.
The remains were discovered on November 15 near the mouth of the River Cuckmere at Exceat. A limb recovered from the beach at Cuckmere Haven, near Seaford, on November 9, has also been identified.
After tests and dental record checks police confirmed the remains belong to missing Brighton man Martin Pepperell.
The 50-year-old was reported missing from his home in Pelham Square, at 4.30pm on Thursday October 8.
Officers, coastguards and a police helicopter searched Seaford Head but nothing was found.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and is being dealt with by the coroner.
