WALKERS who chose to have an afternoon stroll along the beach had to contend with high winds yesterday.
Stormy weather continued to batter the south coast this weekend and more is expected at the beginning of this week.
Gale force winds, heavy rain and up to 19 inches of snow is expected. A yellow warning is in place for the whole of England and Wales and a flood warning warns of downpours sweeping the country until the end of the week.
Bognor cancelled its Christmas light switch on due to bad weather amid fears of 70 mph winds coming across from the Atlantic.
