TWO crashes on the A27 caused rush hour chaos this morning as drivers trudged through their commute.
Huge tailbacks were caused by the two separate incidents between Falmer and Lewes.
The first was just before 7am and involved a Ford Fiesta car travelling east which overturned near the Ashcombe Roundabout, Kingston, near Lewes, blocking the inside lane of the dual carriageway.
The woman driver was shocked but otherwise unhurt.
Then at 7.39am a silver Fiat Arosa car travelling east on the A27 at Falmer and driven by a 35-year-old woman collided with the central barrier.
She was shocked but unhurt.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Due to heavy congestion recovery of vehicles at both locations could not be arranged until after 9am."
