Car plunges off cliffs at Beachy Head
A car has plunged from the cliffs at Beachy Head.
Emergency services including Sussex Police and the Coastguard launched a major rescue operation at about 9pm.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said the rescue operation was still ongoing. It is not yet known whether anyone was in the vehicle or the extent of any possible injuries.
The car has not yet been retrieved.
Police said they were currently unable to confirm any further details.
