TIME is running out for you to have your say on what you love most about Sussex.

We launched our Joy of Sussex series of features in November last year and have since described the top 25 reasons why we love where we live.

On New Year’s Day we opened the voting and ever since you have been telling us what your top joy is.

We have been inundated with votes, but with the poll closing on Saturday, time is running out for you to have an impact on the final standings.

The South Downs still holds the top spot, but there are a number of joys not far behind.

In particular seagulls, the sea and murmurations are all still in the hunt along with festivals and piers.

In fact, all but a couple of the 25 could still realistically snatch the top spot from the South Downs.

Mike Gilson, editor of The Argus, described the response to the Joy of Sussex as fantastic.

He said: "As an editor when you launch features such as this you can never be sure if it will sink or swim.

"But the Joy of Sussex has really caught the imagination of our readers. It really goes to show how passionate people are about Sussex and it has acted as a reminder of how lucky we are to call this beautiful part of the world home.

"Our National Park is still leading the way but with just days to go it is all to play for - so get voting."

The South Downs is the youngest National Park in the country having been granted the status in April 2011.

It goes all the way from Winchester in the west to Eastbourne in the east and takes in much on Sussex.

More than 108,000 people live in its boundaries with millions on the outskirts.

Each year tourists descend on the park to enjoy everything from walking and cycling to climbing and bird watching.

We will be revealing the winner of the public vote next Wednesday along with a rundown of the final placings.
