The A23 is blocked
Police have said that the northbound carriageway of the A23 is currently blocked (8.59am) following a collision near the Patcham roundabout.
A van collided with a motorcycle at 8.23am and police, fire crews and ambulances responded quickly.
The biker is being treated by South-east Coast Ambulance, while spilled petrol is being mopped up and made safe by East Sussex Fire and Rescue.
A Sussex Police spokesman said the northbound carriageway was "blocked" but could not confirm whether or not police had closed the road.
