A MAN escaped a kidnapping when a car pulled up beside him and one of the occupants tried to pull him inside.
The 24-year-old was standing in Pelham Street, Hastings, at about 12.15pm on February 1 when a black Vauxhall Astra stopped beside him.
A white man got out of the car and tried to force the man into the vehicle.
However the victim was able to escape unharmed and call the police, and the car drove off.
Detective Constable Chris Milner said; "We are looking for anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.
"Luckily the victim was able to escape from his attacker and avoid a more serious incident.
