A CANADIAN who made Sussex her home has celebrated her 102nd birthday.
Family and friends of Pauline Dunnill née Villiers marked the occasion with a party at the Sussexdown care home in Storrington.
Born on January 31, 1914, in Vancouver, at three months old she moved with her family to England, living in London during the First World World.
She returned to Canada aged five where her father Paul was serving in 14th Canadian Hussars.
But she moved away again in 1920 to India which she enjoyed for two years before returning to England in 1922.
At the age of eight she attended Clearview School which later became Claremont School near St Leonards.
