PHOTOGRAPHS taken by one of the country's best loved actors and comedians will go on display tomorrow.
Peter Sellers: Behind the Camera features more than 50 shots, either taken by Sellers himself or relating to his career.
The images record some of the most famous faces of the 1960s and 1970s as well as many images of Sellers’ family.
Although he claimed photography was a hobby, it would provide the actor a successful second career.
In 1971 the Evening Standard gave Sellers his first paid commission and his work was also published in the Sunday Times, the Sunday Telegraph and Vogue magazine.
Peter’s daughter, Sarah, is curator of the exhibition at the Towner Gallery in Eastbourne.
She will take part in a walk and talk for Towner members tomorrow from 5pm.
She will also hold a special talk on March 5 at 3pm when she will discuss the background of the exhibition and her father’s life and work.
The exhibition is free to enter.
A fully-illustrated catalogue will be available for £5 with the proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation.
