ANOTHER 150 bands have been added to Brighton’s annual three-day celebration of new music.
And performing the third Spotlight show on Saturday, May 21, at Brighton Dome Concert Hall will be grime MC Stormzy, who enjoyed his first top ten single Shut Up last autumn. Tickets for his show cost £15 as separate tickets, or £8 on top of a weekend wristband.
Also announced in this wave of artists are long-serving Welsh indie-rock trio The Joy Formidable, the return of UK garage star Craig David with his new DJ project TS5, and Brighton’s own hotly tipped Black Honey.
Following a storming show at the Prince Albert earlier this week all girl trio Skinny Girl Diet return, with South London’s ESKA, Clean Cut Kid, Rudimental vocalist Anne Marie, Rag’N’Bone Man, Telegram, Leeds post-punks Eagulls and Tiny Ruins also announced.
Coming from further afield are Norway’s Highasakite, Californian punks SWMRS and Anglo-Japanese duo Kero Kero Bonito.
