Glynde Place Concert Series

FOLLOWING a successful inaugural event in 2015, more BBC New Generation artists will be heading for Glynde Place this summer for a series of concerts.

Opening the series on Saturday, May 14, will be leading Belgian clarinettist Annelin van Wauwe, who will give a recital of music by Schumann, Brahms, Saint Saens, Bassi and Debussy accompanied by pianist Lucas Blondeel. She was a BBC New Generation artist last year.

On Saturday, June 11, it’s the turn of a piano trio featuring three of the current BBC New Generation artists Esther Yoo on violin, Narek Hakhnazaryan on cello and Zhang Zuo on piano.

They will play works by Brahms and Dvorak.

Rounding the programme off are chamber music group the Armida String Quartet on Sunday, July 17, playing music by Schubert and Dvorak.

There will be a chance to picnic on the Glynde Place grounds before each concert.
