Ulrich Schnauss
The Haunt, Pool Valley, Brighton, Sat, March 5, 7pm, £10, 01273 606312
LAST seen performing at Wire’s city-wide Drill Festival in 2014, cult electronic musician Ulrich Schnauss returns for a headline show.
The producer took early influences from horror films and the music of fellow countrymen Kraftwerk, alongside the shoegazing guitar bands of the early 1990s and burgeoning acid house scene of the same period. As well as creating his own work, released on the Domino label, he has produced the likes of Kirsty Hawkshaw and Exit Calm and remixed Depeche Mode and Death Cab For Cutie.
Providing live visuals will be Nat Urazmetova.
