Today's Argus looks at the designs that were turned down for the King Alfred Leisure Centre in Hove.
The scheme by LCE Architects, comprising 660 flats and peaking at 20-storeys in height, lost out to Rob Starr's plans when it came down to a council panel.
The winning design was met with criticism from some, labelled bland and likened to Croydon.
