On The Radar #109 Sea Bed

TODAY (March 11) sees Sea Bed launch their new vinyl four-track EP Moving Ghosts through Four Thieves Records.

The electronica duo of Lizzie Massey and Jim Corbin introduce themselves below.

“We met at jury duty five years ago. We were both on the board for a hostage crime case. Jim was wearing grey moccasins with yogurt trim. I made a comment how I have an undying love for a good earthy synth, and the rest was history.

“Our influences are everything from Ghost Culture and Basic Channel to New Order and This Mortal Coil. Anything that feels like you're dipping your toes into a warm bath.

“Our biggest gig so far was supporting Radio 1's Phil Taggart at Ibiza Rocks.

“The EP was channeled directly into our laptops during an ayahuasca trip in the mountains of Peru last year. Since then Moving Ghosts has become a benchmark for where we go next, expanding our sound palette as world events unfold.

“After our EP release we are looking to funnel our live show straight into the eyeballs of as many souls across the UK. This will hopefully inspire European promoters to welcome us into their countries unaware of the traumatic bliss that will unfold. Bookmarking and regularly observing our website in between lunch and cigarette breaks will ensure you don’t miss out on us in the future.”

Sea Bed play the Hoxton Bar And Kitchen in Hoxton Square on Thursday, April 7, as part of a bill including Ben Hobbs and Gina Kushka. Doors 8pm, tickets £7.

They return to the Green Door Store on Wednesday, June 8, as part of the live indie club night Meet The Sloths. Doors 11pm, entry free.
