A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a high-speed chase through Sussex on Thursday.
Officers arrested 32-year-old Gavin Collett in Fratton, Hampshire, on Sunday, three days after a huge 100 mph police chase through Sussex over two-and-a-half hours ending at Brighton's Churchill Square.
Unemployed Gavin Collett, of Bramber Road from the Broadwater area of Worthing, has been charged with two counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
He appeared before Crawley Magistrates today and has been remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on April 12.
Yesterday he spoke to The Argus saying he would hand himself in to spare his family and friends.
