A VULNERABLE 13-year-old girl was forced to take part in a sex game which lasted several days, a court heard.

The alleged offence is one of a number two men and a woman are accused of committing during several trips, including two to the Isle of Wight, between August and October last year.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was raped, forced to perform sex acts and watch others perform sex acts on several occasions during trips, a jury at Brighton Crown Court heard.

Marcus Hannon, 35, Dylan Quantrill, 21, and a 39-year-old woman who cannot be named for legal reasons, all from Hastings, appeared before Judge Shani Barnes facing a 35-count indictment.

The string of charges include allegations of rape and sexual activity with a child for Hannon and Quantrill and sexual activity in the presence of a child, child cruelty and attempting to pervert the course of justice for the woman.

During one of the visits to the Isle of Wight, the three accused and the victim took part in a sex game which continued over several days and required all four to be naked, prosecutor Dale Sullivan said.

He added that the group stayed at guest houses in Ryde and at the derelict Harcourt Sands Holiday Park on the island when they took part in the game.

Police seized a suitcase of sex toys and traces of Quantrill and Hannon were found in the girl’s underwear, the court was told.

Hannon would follow the girl around, get undressed and undress her, demand sex from her and when she refused, would pick her up and force himself on her, the jury heard.

Mr Sullivan said that on one occasion when she said: “leave me alone I don’t want sex with you” he responded: “It doesn’t matter, I do.”

Jurors were told how Hannon was jailed for 14 days in October last year for failing to comply with sex offender requirements.

He was also cautioned in May last year for kissing a 15-year-old girl but the jury was urged to view this as important explanatory background information and not evidence being presented in the case.

The victim was subjected to a threesome with Hannon and Quantrill who repeatedly had sex with her one after another, the court heard.

During a trip to Manchester she was abused as the group stayed in a tent and she was was raped once in Hastings, the court heard.

Mr Sullivan said the child was groomed so she could be exploited for sexual gratification and then “systematically abused”.

The woman also asked a school friend of the victim to get her to change her statement, the court heard.

All three deny the charges against them.

The trial continues and is expected to last up to five weeks.
