A second man has been arrested after a man was hit by a lorry and died following a fight.
Sussex Police launched a murder inquiry after emergency services were called to in Western Road, Brighton, near the junction of Temple Street at 2.40am.
The victim, a 23-year-old man from Brighton, was found lying in the road. He was dead at the scene.
He has now been formally identified as George Yaschuk, known as Georgi, 23, of Cambridge Road, Brighton.
A 27-year-old Hove man was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning and a 24-year-old man from Hove was later arrested on suspicion of murder in the afternoon. They are both in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Tanya Jones, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "This has been a fast moving investigation and we have now arrested two men on suspicion of murder.
"However we are still appealing for witnesses who may have seen what led up to the fight which spilled into Western Road and then the victim being hit by a lorry. If you have any information about this incident please contact us."
