A MAN was stabbed in the leg during a clash between teenagers outside a fried chicken restaurant.
Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident that took place in Montague Street, Worthing at 7.25pm on Saturday.
During the incident a 23-year-old man who was wearing a white jumper and blue jeans and was in company with two older men in their 50s, was stabbed in the leg, requiring treatment at Worthing Hospital
It is believed the injury was caused during an altercation with a group of teenage boys which occurred close to the Chicken Cottage and Lemon Grass restaurants.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phonel 101 quoting serial 1260 of 23/04.
"Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org
"A 17-year-old boy from Worthing has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article.
"After being questioned he was released on bail until June."
