THE FAMILY of a man who died after a fight at the business he was trying to set up have vowed to carry on in his memory.

Frank Milligan was helping relatives to finalise preparation for the launch of their new cafe in Burgess Hill when a fight broke out in Church Road outside.

His daughter Natalie, 35, was assaulted and after the incident Frank collapsed and later died in hospital.

Frank's son Scott Told The Argus they will open the cafe in his honour today (SAT).

He said: "The cafe was my dad's idea as a family business.

"And the family is going to push ahead with it for him.

"We are going to change the name though to Frank's Cafe.

As well as Scott and Natalie, Frank also left behind their sister Heidi, his wife Sue and two grandchildren.

Scott added: "We are just taking each day as it comes.

"We just want to push on with it.

"My dad was all about the family so we want to do this for him.

"It's been hard work carrying on to get the business open while we are grieving but we are doing it for him."

Two 19-year-old men from Haywards Heath, both arrested in connection with the brawl on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, were bailed until July 15.

Detective Inspector Sarah Barrett said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the Church Road area who might have seen what happened.”

“Two people have been arrested at this time and we are trying to identify two other men who were also involved."

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Abraham."

Frank's Cafe, in Church Road will be opening with a special celebratory event from 10am today SAT.
