TOURISTS can ditch their bus pass for some bus pasta this summer after a popular family-run restaurant joined forces with the city sightseeing bus.
The back of Brighton and Hove Bus Company's open-topped tour bus is now emblazoned with a double-decker advert for Donatello's Italian restaurant in The Lanes, and passengers can get money off their pizza.
On Friday waiting staff joined business owner Sue Addis to launch the marketing push and enjoy a tour of the city.
Sue told The Argus: "There were about fifteen of us and we had a really fun day out in the sunshine.
"We've never done advertising like this before but we all just love seeing the ad driving around and parked on the seafront.
"Hopefully the tourists are all going to jump off the open topped bus and run up to Donatello's for something to eat."
Donatello's partnership with the bus company extends to offering ten per cent discount to all passengers - not just sightseeing bus users - who present their bus pass or ticket at the Lanes restaurant.
