Mother and young child rescued from flat fire caused by arson
A mother and young child were rescued from a flat fire believed to have been caused by arson.
The incident happened in The Diplocks, Hailsham, at 2.30am today where crews from both Hailsham and Eastbourne fire stations attended.
An officer from the Eastbourne station told The Argus the pair were rescued and given oxygen at the scene but that their injuries were not thought to have been serious.
