A motorcyclist in his fifties walked away from a crash with a lorry this morning.
His bike collided with an HGV on the A26 at the entrance to the Avis Way industrial estate in Newhaven.
Two South East Coast Ambulance Service vehicles arrived at the scene shortly after 7.40am.
The man had minor head injuries and pain in his neck and ribs, but was fully conscious when he was taken to hospital as a priority case after being treated at the scene.
The A26 was closed, with a diversion through the industrial estate put in place, and long delays back along the A259 at rush hour while emergency services responded to the crash.
