THREE teenagers have been arrested over the death of a grandfather.

Frank Milligan, 63, and his relatives were preparing to open their new family business when a fight broke out outside their Burgess Hill cafe.

Frank's daughter Natalie, 35, was assaulted and after the incident Frank collapsed and later died in hospital.

Sussex Police have now arrested an 18-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl all from Haywards Heath on suspicion of manslaughter.

Two other men, both 19, and from Haywards Heath, were previously arrested in connection with the brawl in Church Road, on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and were bailed until July 15.

Detective Sergeant Vicki Tomlinson said: "This has been a fast paced and extensive investigation which has led to the identification of three further suspects in addition to the two who were arrested at the time of the incident. The family of the victim continue to be supported by officers.”

The three new suspects have all been interviewed by police and bailed until September 29.

Police believe the driver of a small silver car, possibly a Toyota Aygo, had to stop because of the altercation in Church Road on May 17.

Frank's children Scott, Natalie, and Heidi, and wife Sue continued to open the cafe in his honour - renaming it Frank's.
