A CHARITY has appointed a new chief executive.

Richard Tylor is taking over at Crowborough-based Horder Healthcare next month following the retirement of Di Thomas.

The charity runs the Horder Centre, which provides specialist orthopaedic treatment for patients as well as satellite clinics and the McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead.

Mr Tylor said: “I’m joining the organisation at a very exciting time and I believe we can take the strengths and qualities currently seen within Horder Healthcare to a wider reach using the McIndoe Centre as another centre of excellence.”

Horder Healthcare chairwoman Sue Grieve said: “We’re delighted to welcome Richard to Horder Healthcare.

“His vast experience in the healthcare business is invaluable to us as we consolidate the growth, development and extend the reach of our charity.”

Mr Taylor began his career in local authorities before joining the NHS in various roles in Surrey and London and most recently at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
