IT CERTAINLY wasn’t a piece of cake getting it but Albion players were certainly happy to cut the cake and celebrate five years at the Amex.
Seagulls stars Sam Baldock, Lewis Dunk and Bruno Saltor visited the club’s official shirt sponsor American Express at their offices in John Street, Brighton, to celebrate the fifth birthday of the American Express Community Stadium.
The club is making preparations to begin its sixth season at their £100 million home when they host Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Centre-back star and former Varndean pupil Lewis Dunk said: “I was lucky enough to play at our first ever league match at the Amex, where the atmosphere was incredible.
“There’s been some memorable moments over the past five years and we can’t wait to kick-off another great season on Friday.’
