DETECTIVES have appealed for help in finding the van owned by a man believed to have been murdered at home.

David Bond, 50, was found dead with stab wounds at home in Osmonde Close, Worthing, on Tuesday August 9.

His red, Ford Focus-derived van was missing from outside his house and police believe it may have been abandoned in Mitcham, south London.

Detectives ask anyone who has seen the van, registration HT02 HMA, to let them know.

Mr Bond's lodger, Alan Knight, 51, has been charged with his murder.

He appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday (August 17) and was remanded in custody until a hearing on November 4.

Anyone who has seen the van or knows of its whereabouts is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting Sussex reference Operation Waterhouse.
