Brighton and Hove High School is celebrating another rise in top grades at GCSE with and a pass rate of 96% A*- C.

  • 61% of all results at A*/A grades
  • A third of girls achieved 100% A*/A grades
  • Pupils Eve Hull, Monica Kelada, Eleanor Palmer and Eleanor Thomas all achieved 10 A*s.
  • There was outstanding performance across a range of subjects: in Art, History, Latin, Music and Physics over 80% of grades were A*/A.

Headteacher Jennifer Smith said in a statement: "The governors and I are delighted with our girls’ success - they have worked tremendously hard and it is well-deserved.

"Whilst we are very pleased with our headline statistics, the most important thing is that individual girls have made excellent progress during their time at the school and we are most proud of our value-added record - the school’s highest ever - with 91 % of girls meeting or exceeding their potential grades in core subjects.

"Congratulations to all the girls and staff on a superb performance."
