The parents of a suspected murder victim have paid tribute to their daughter.
Shana Grice, 19, was found dead at her home in Chrisdory Road, Mile Oak, yesterday morning.
Today her parents, Sharon Grice and Richard Green, of Hove, said: "Shana is our beautiful girl, a kind thoughtful, caring daughter who always thought of others."
They thanked her boyfriend, Ashley Cook, 21, and his family for their support, adding: "We would also like to thank everyone for their beautiful kind words."
Mr Cook earlier spoke of their three-and-a-half years together, how they were planning on starting a family next year and their holiday to Mexico with friends earlier this year.
A 27-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Magistrates at Brighton today granted a warrant authorising his continued detention if necessary until Sunday, August 28.
Miss Grice's cause of death is not yet known.
Her death has been referred to the police watchdog due because the police had previous contact with her.
The watchdog is now deciding whether it needs to investigate.
