DOZENS of children and adults with Down’s syndrome showed off their footballing skills at a tournament.

The event at Brighton and Hove Albion’s training ground in Lancing was organised by Albion in the Community (AITC).

AITC is the club’s official charity and works to make sports accessible to all across Sussex.

The day included warm up sessions and team games to give participants the chance to improve their footballing talents.

The event was supported by employees from American Express, who helped AITC coaches throughout the day.

Albion manager Chris Hughton dropped by to meet the teams, who came from Brighton, Aldingbourne near Bognor and Eastbourne.

The adult and junior players of the day were Kristopher Keefe from Brighton and Ellen Parr from Hove.

AITC runs a regular football session for people with Down’s syndrome and more details is available by emailing disability@albioninthecommunity.org.uk.
