A DRUG dealer used Facebook to advertise his goods and take bookings before packaging them up and sending them at the Post Office.

When police went round to Azzy Lawrence’s home, they found drugs including steroids, sleeping pills and MDMA, as well as packages addressed to clients and Post Office receipts.

The 28-year-old, formerly of Kebbell Lodge, Brighton, has been jailed after pleading guilty to several drugs offences.

On his Facebook page seen by The Argus before his arrest, Mr Lawrence advertised the steroid Methabolon Rapid with a banner photo of the drugs and the offer ‘£11 each or 10 packs for £85’.

In another posting on June last year, he posted a list of mostly steroids, with prices, and the words, ‘No gimmick advertising... Just 100% old school gear’.

When The Argus contacted him under a different name, he provided his bank details and promised to send the purchases quickly.

Police said they raided his home in Kebbell Lodge at 8.10am on November 2, 2015, prompted by a tip-off about drugs being offered for sale on Facebook.

A spokesman said: “A quantity of drugs was seized from the location, along with a number of packages of drugs that were addressed and ready to send along with a number of Post Office receipts showing proof of postage.”

When he appeared at Lewes Crown Court on June 10 this year, Lawrence pleaded guilty to a total of eleven drugs offences (see sidebar for offences in detail), for which he was given five months in jail.

On the same day he was also sentenced to a further 10 months burglary and criminal damage of a flat in Grove Hill, Brighton, on March 1 this year, having been found guilty of the offence.

There was also a charge of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress but this was dismissed.

On April 4 this year he was jailed for 20 weeks for battery after being found guilty at Hastings Magistrates’ Court.
