TWO men were stabbed following an argument in a busy street.

The assault happened outside the Metro Bank in Churchill Square, Brighton.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old Brighton man, ran from the scene, but was pursued by the suspects down Cranbourne Street, where he was attacked again. He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he was treated for stab wounds to his groin, buttock and back.

He was released the following morning.

A second victim, a 24-year-old man also from Brighton, required stitches to a small wound to his back.

The attackers, who fled from the scene down Duke Street following the attack just after 8pm on Thursday, September 1, are being sought by police.

These pictures have been issued of two men officers want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The first is described as black, around 5ft, 20-25, wearing black clothing. The second is of mixed race, 6ft, of skinny build with gold teeth and wearing a grey tracksuit.

It is believed both men frequent Brighton but may be from the South London area.
