A WOMAN was allegedly spat at as she walked with her partner in what police are treating as a homophobic attack.
The 26-year-old told police she was holding hands with her partner, 29, as they walked in North Street, Brighton, when a man pushed his bike between them, spat on her and walked off.
It happened just before 4.30pm on September 14, police said.
Police have released CCTV of a suspect, pictured with his bike.
He is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, with short, dark hair and a beard, blue eyes and wearing a blue T-shirt. He was on a dark grey bicycle.
PC Jack Bowry said "The victim is particularly shocked about this incident. The worry is that the suspect may have done this before and we are trying to find him before it happens again.
"No one deserves to be spat on.”
