YOUNG Rosie Baggs found a novel way of promoting her charity fashion show when she posed in the surf.

The 23 year old is hosting an upcycling fashion show where she is using used clothes to create the eye-catching looks that she showed off on the beach for Argus photographer Allan Hutchings when she waded into the water by the Brighton Palace Pier, even showing off some looks in a wedding dress.

Rosie's Baggs Raggs fashion enterprise is auctioning off the vintage clothes after a show to raise money for The Corner House mental health charity in Southwick which helped her recover from a breakdown in February.

Rosie, who lives in Brighton, said; "The aim as the social project grows and funds are raised is that I will be able to offer paid employment opportunities to people who deal with mental health issues daily. In the long term the dream would be to have a clothing brand designed by the young people in popular high street fashion stores and communicating the message ‘it’s ok’ everyday."

Fashion obsessive Rosie's two trading shops, which give old clothes a fresh spin, help young people get back on their feet in a safe, productive environment.

Tickets for the charity fashion show at the Barclays Eagle Lab in Preston Circus, supported by Doughbo and The Specky Wren, on September 23, from 6pm to 9pm, are £10 and are limited to 100 people. Visit baggsraggs.com to book.
